Pigmentation Removal

Pigmentation is simply coloring of the skin due to an increase of melanin production. Excessive sunlight, hormonal imbalances and genetics can exacerbate pigmentation.
Pigmentation is caused by over-productive melanin resulting in dark spots and patches on the skin. Melanin is the cell which gives human skin, hair and even eyes their color. Everyone has different levels of melanin in their skin - the more you have, the darker your skin tone.

A number of environmental and genetic factors can influence the skin to produce irregular levels of melanin in certain areas. This can lead to slightly darker (hyperpigmentation) or lighter (hypopigmentation) patches of skin. The causes of irregular skin pigmentation vary widely, and most people experience it on at least some part of their body (birthmarks, freckles). There are a number of causes of pigmentation. Dermatologists believe genetic predisposition, hormonal changes and imbalances, and certain diseases (such as diabetes) can lead to irregularity of melanin production.

Sun exposure can also trigger a change in melanin levels. It is important to wear sunscreen with a high SPF and avoid direct sunlight. Excessive exposure to sunlight can exacerbate skin conditions like pigmentation. So if you’re after a gorgeous - fake it, don’t bake it!
In many cases, treatment of irregular skin pigmentation can be tricky. Most treatment regimes include a combination of topical emulsions, IPL Skin Rejuvenation and many laser treatments which can removes the pigmentation in NO time.
